Hong Kong’s Ultimate Outrigger Canoe Challenge
Since 2005, the Around the Island Race has challenged paddlers to conquer a 45km circumnavigation of Hong Kong Island. Starting and finishing at Middle Island, crews face changing sea conditions, demanding teamwork, and a course that showcases the city’s iconic coastline.
Organised by the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, ATIR is a celebration of endurance, ocean skill, and the spirit of outrigger canoe racing.
